Our wedding will be held at Sara Taylor Hall Chapel, on the campus of
Cornell University, August 1, 2006. The reception will follow at the
Marriott Hotel, also on Cornell's campus. Below, you can find parking
and transportation information.
Parking information
There is free parking behind Sara Taylor Hall, but please be
considerate to the brides at later ceremonies and do not leave your car
there after the ceremony. You can park in any spot you find at Cornell
University during the weekend, as long as it is not marked otherwise.
For those who don't mind a short walk, parking is also free in
Collegetown. Parking will also be available at the Statler.
Transportation information
Most people will want to park on campus or at the Statler and walk to
both the chapel and the reception. It's an easy walk, especially if you
download a copy of the campus map.
The most important roads in Ithaca are Rte. 79 (State St.), Rte. 366
(Dryden Rd.), and Rte. 13. The city can be tricky to navigate, but the
people are friendly, and it's always easy to find your way back to
campus by following the Cornell directional signs. A map never hurts.

Although we have not yet found a place to live, we have started
thinking about what we'd like our home to look like. We like a blend of
earth tones and steel, and sage, creams, and rich chocolate tones have
become a recurrent theme in our selections. We'd like to avoid floral
patterns as much as possible. We seem to be drawn to a mix of Art Deco,
classic, and modern styles, and we have found that we are generally
attracted to clean lines and simple designs. Scandinavian and Shaker
designs definitely appeal to us. Part of what we both love about Ithaca
is its assortment of older houses and its proximity to large parks and
forests.
